Riyadh (UNA/SPA) - Abdul Mohsen Al-Mazyad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism for Licensing and Classification, inspected a number of hospitality facilities in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as part of inspection tours in the Holy Capital to determine their readiness to receive pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1446 AH.
The inspection tour included a number of hospitality facilities in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, during which the delegation reviewed the ongoing preparations and procedures to ensure the implementation of the tourism system's standards and executive regulations, particularly those related to obtaining a regulatory license from the Ministry of Tourism to operate.
The Ministry's delegation also met with a number of investors and operators of hospitality facilities and tourism activities at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters in the Holy Capital, as part of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen sustainable partnerships with the tourism sector and support them in improving the quality of services provided in Makkah and across the Kingdom. The delegation discussed the challenges facing investors and operators, and emphasized the Ministry's commitment to overcoming them in order to capitalize on the opportunities available in the sector.
During the meeting, the delegation affirmed the ministry's commitment to enhancing job localization in the tourism sector and called on investors and operators to increase the percentage and number of Saudi men and women working in their facilities, contributing to achieving sustainable development goals and empowering national cadres.
These visits come under the direction and supervision of His Excellency the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb. They are part of the Ministry of Tourism's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims, fulfilling the aspirations of the wise leadership to provide the best services to the guests of God from around the world.
