Alexandria Higher Institute of Media is a private educational institution established in 2012 in Alexandria, Egypt, under Ministerial Decree No. 606 of 2012. The institute is the first of its kind in the Lower Egypt and Marsa Matrouh region, and aims to prepare graduates who are intellectually and practically qualified in various media fields, with a focus on the professional use of the latest communication and information technologies. Available majors at the institute: 1. Department of Journalism: It is concerned with training students in journalistic editing skills, preparing reports, and investigations, with a focus on print and electronic journalism. 2. Department of Radio and Television: It focuses on teaching the arts of radio and television production, including presentation, directing, and photography, to prepare cadres capable of working in visual and audio media. 3. Department of Public Relations and Advertising: It is concerned with training students on corporate communication strategies, managing advertising campaigns, and building the mental image of organizations, which qualifies them to work in the fields of public relations and advertising. The duration of study at the institute is four academic years, after which the successful student obtains a bachelor's degree in media in the specialization of his choice. The institute adopts the credit hour system, as obtaining a bachelor’s degree requires completing 144 credit hours distributed over eight semesters, including practical training hours and general and mandatory requirements for each department.
