Rabat (UNA) - The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of 109 new confirmed cases of the new Corona virus, as of 11 am today, Sunday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in the Kingdom to 986 cases. The ministry added, on its official portal for the emerging corona virus: that the number of cases that have recovered from the disease so far has risen to 8730, after 7 new cases of recovery, while the number of deaths has stabilized at 220. On a related level, the Ministry of Health confirmed, in a statement yesterday. Saturday, that the epidemiological situation related to the emerging corona virus is controlled and stable, highlighting that the increase in cases of Covid-19 in recent days is directly related to the expansion of the circle of early and active collective detection, in order to contain the epidemic and ensure that the virus does not spread. The Ministry indicated that it had lifted the detection department in the context of preparation and keeping pace with mitigating quarantine procedures. Noting that the epidemiological situation today in Morocco remains stable and controlled, given the shrinking number of critical cases and the low death rate. The same source added that most of the infected people are asymptomatic (98 percent), but they remain carriers of infection, which requires taking care of them in order to preserve the health of people with health fragility, and strict adherence to the preventive measures recommended by the health authorities, such as wearing a mask properly.
