ALGIERS (KUNA) - The Algerian Ministry of Health announced today, Wednesday, the registration of 160 confirmed new infections and 6 deaths from the (emerging corona virus - Covid 19) in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 8857 cases, and deaths to 623 cases. The official spokesman for the Corona Virus Monitoring and Follow-up Committee in the ministry, Dr. Jamal Forar, said in a press conference: The new infections were distributed to 27 states, while 21 other states did not record any new infections. Dr. Forar added: The state of Algiers recorded, for the third consecutive day, the largest number of injuries, with 19 cases, followed by the state of Blida, south of the capital, which counted 17 injuries. He revealed that two deaths were recorded in the province of Setif, east of the country, while the provinces of Medea, Constantine, Skikda and Mascara each recorded one case.
