The start of the activities of the first Yemeni-Turkish conference for emergency medicine in Sana'a

Sana'a, December 18, 2013 (INA) - The activities of the first Yemeni-Turkish conference on emergency medicine began here, which is being held at the Private University of Science and Technology for three days. During the opening ceremony, the Yemeni Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Nasser Baoum, stressed the importance of partnership and cooperation between the government and the private sector in meeting the needs of society, especially medical services. Considering the convening of this conference as one of the fruits of successful cooperation between official institutions and the private medical sector in Yemen and Turkey. For his part, the President of the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Hamid Aklan, stressed the importance of holding an emergency medicine conference within a regular program of international scientific research conferences, which amounted to six conferences through which the university works to encourage scientific research and benefit from the experiences of others. For his part, the Turkish ambassador in Sana'a, Fadli Churman, praised the distinguished relations of Yemen and Turkey in the various development fields and their positive returns to the two brotherly peoples, referring to a number of conferences and medical teams that were organized in cooperation with the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population. Over three days, the conference will discuss 40 scientific papers by emergency physicians participating in the conference from Turkey, Egypt, the UAE and Yemen, in addition to holding 4 workshops in 4 emergency specialties, with the participation of 198 trainees from various governmental and private hospitals in Yemen.
