Jeddah (UNA) – The Russian city of Kazan is preparing to host the International Economic Forum: “Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum” 2023 during the period 18-19 May next, at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center.
It is expected that the forum, in its fourteenth edition, will witness more than 140 working sessions to discuss the economic partnership between Russia and Islamic countries, in the presence of more than a thousand participants, including businessmen and investors from the Middle East and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
This year's forum focuses on a number of topics, most notably: international cooperation, sustainable development, industry, Islamic finance, halal industry, technology, innovation, investment, youth, entrepreneurship and diplomacy, in addition to logistics, women's issues, education, small and medium businesses, And medicine, and sports.
The President of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, said: “Based on the experience of Tatarstan, we are striving to fine-tune the practical mechanisms of interaction with Islamic business. Great prospects are opening up for the development of the Islamic economy, and in particular the development of the food industry, halal tourism and halal medicine.”
It is noteworthy that the forum, which is held annually, aims to enhance cooperation between Russia and the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
