Cairo (UNA/WAM) – Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, condemned the serious and deliberate violations committed by Israel against the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and its continued targeting of civilians and the demolition of homes, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 28 Palestinian citizens.
In a statement issued yesterday, Sunday, Al-Yamahi stressed that these violations represent a disregard for the efforts of the mediators and a blow to any commitment to de-escalation, emphasizing that what is happening in Gaza are war crimes and crimes against humanity that require immediate accountability.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament held the Israeli occupation and the international community fully responsible for the repercussions of this escalation, and called on the Security Council to take urgent action to compel the occupation to implement the ceasefire agreement and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
