He noted that this was particularly evident in the direct targeting of the camps, through the destruction of their urban and social infrastructure, and the imposition of a coercive reality that led to the displacement of tens of thousands of citizens, in the largest wave of displacement witnessed by the West Bank in decades..
He emphasized that the scale of arrests in Jenin and Tulkarm cannot be separated from the nature of the crimes committed by the occupation forces, which reflected an unprecedented level of brutality. The occupation adopted a policy of turning homes into military barracks and isolation points, using them as field interrogation centers for hundreds of citizens. This was accompanied by brutal physical assaults, torture, systematic terrorism, direct threats against individuals and their families, the use of citizens as hostages and human shields, and the execution of extrajudicial killings.
