
Nablus (UNA/WAFA) – Six paramedics and journalists were injured on Saturday during an attack by settlers in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
The deputy mayor of Beita, Muhammad Hamayel, told Wafa news agency that settlers attacked participants in an olive-picking event in the “Jabal Qamas” area of the town, resulting in injuries to six participants, including three paramedics, three journalists, and another citizen, due to being hit by stones.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated that its crews dealt with a number of people injured as a result of being severely beaten, including volunteer paramedics in the society and journalists, and three of them were transferred to the hospital.
According to press sources, the injured journalists are: Raneen Sawafteh, Muhammad Al-Atrash, and Luay Saeed. They suffered bruises and fractures and were taken to the hospital.
The sources indicated that one of the foreign solidarity activists sustained injuries and bruises, and was taken to the hospital.
