Tubas (UNA/WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained dozens of teachers at the Hamra military checkpoint on Wednesday and prevented them from reaching schools in the Jordan Valley.
Azmi Balawneh, Director of Education in Tubas and the Jordan Valley, reported that the occupation forces detained approximately 100 teachers at the Hamra military checkpoint, preventing them from reaching their schools. He added that this significantly disrupts the educational process.
Balawneh pointed out that teachers are frequently prevented from reaching their schools.
For two years, the checkpoints leading to the Jordan Valley (Hamra and Tayasir) have been subject to repeated military closures by the occupation, which has negatively impacted all aspects of life.
