Baghdad (UNA/WAFA) – The Palestinian issue will top the agenda of the 34th Arab Summit, scheduled to be held next Saturday in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, along with a number of important political issues.
Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, said that the Arab League Council's meeting at the delegate level in preparation for the Arab Summit, scheduled for Wednesday, will discuss several important draft resolutions, most notably the Palestinian issue and the Arab-Israeli conflict, as well as the files of Libya, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and other issues.
He pointed out that a decision was issued to adopt the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza at the extraordinary Arab summit held in Cairo on March 4, but the implementation decision was postponed due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Zaki pointed out that the decision to finance reconstruction requires the creation of appropriate conditions for its implementation, while the issue of funding will not be the primary obstacle.
