1500 citizens lost their sight and 4000 are at risk of losing it as a result of the aggression on Gaza.

Gaza (UNA/WAFA) – Medical sources reported that the health sector in the Gaza Strip is experiencing a serious shortage of medical supplies and equipment for eye surgeries. 1500 citizens have lost their sight as a result of the war of extermination, while 4000 others are at risk of losing it.
She added that the ongoing war of extermination has led to a near-total collapse of surgical services, particularly for retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and internal bleeding.
She pointed out that the Gaza City Eye Hospital currently possesses only three disposable surgical scissors that are frequently used, which increases the risk to patients' lives and prevents them from being saved.
She explained that many eye injuries caused by explosions require medical supplies such as helon and fine sutures, which are on the verge of being completely depleted.
Medical sources said the eye hospital is on the verge of declaring it will no longer be able to provide any surgical services unless immediate and urgent intervention is made by relevant authorities and international organizations.
