Gaza (UNA/WAFA) – The medical director of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil Al-Daqran, said that the Gaza Strip has entered the fifth stage of malnutrition, which is the most dangerous according to the World Health Organization’s classification, due to the strict blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation.
Al-Daqran added that children in Gaza are experiencing the most severe stages of malnutrition due to a lack of food and infant formula, which threatens their lives.
He pointed out that approximately 200 patients with chronic diseases are at risk of death due to the depletion of their medications.
