West Bank (UNA/WAFA) – Israeli settlers, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, continued their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, and their attacks on citizens and their property in the West Bank.
In this context, settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, under the protection of the occupation police, in groups. They carried out provocative tours of its courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals, all under the protection of the occupation forces.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation police transformed the Old City of Jerusalem into a military barracks, deploying hundreds of officers at close quarters, particularly at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque. They tightened their military measures at the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers.
Settlers also attacked a bus with stones in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, east of occupied Jerusalem, shattering its windows.
In the Jordan Valley, settlers stole two water tanks used for watering livestock in the Marah Allan area, east of Khirbet Humsa in the northern Jordan Valley.
In recent months, settlers have been stealing citizens' property in various areas of the northern Jordan Valley, as part of a clear policy to empty the Jordan Valley of its citizens.
In the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, armed settlers attacked farmers and smashed the windows of a vehicle in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers attacked citizens while they were working on their agricultural land in the "Al-Khala" area east of the town, forcing them to leave and smashing the windows of a vehicle belonging to Yahya Jabara.
It is noteworthy that the settlers established a new settlement outpost on the town's lands three days ago.
