Palestinian Prime Minister chairs meeting of Ministerial Committee for Emergency Action

During the meeting, the Department of Refugee Affairs was instructed to manage the temporary shelter file for displaced families in partnership with the Arab Funds, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, and the United Nations Development Program. At the same time, the committee will work to provide relief needs for the people in partnership with all national institutions, and to prepare the necessary resources to rehabilitate what was destroyed by the occupation..

The Prime Minister tasked the Ministry of Local Government, in coordination with municipalities and village councils, with facilitating access to water and electricity services for homeowners who hosted displaced families, and providing as much assistance as possible and taking their conditions into consideration.

The committee reviewed its interventions and ongoing preparations to enhance the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, including: the Ministry of Social Development sending 8 trucks of relief supplies and baby milk to Jenin and Tulkarm, and intensifying efforts to send more of them, and launching a broad campaign to provide relief to our people in the northern West Bank, in coordination with the Chambers of Commerce and other national institutions, while the Ministries of Local Government, Public Works, Housing, Transportation, and Civil Defense will work to assess the damage to the infrastructure and prepare the necessary resources to rehabilitate what the occupation destroyed, in addition to the efforts of the Ministry of National Economy in coordination with the private sector to contribute to supporting the steadfastness of the people, and assessing the damage to economic facilities..

The Water and Energy Authorities are working to provide the supplies needed to repair the water and electricity networks in the destroyed areas - as is the custom after every invasion - as both authorities are working to provide electricity transformers and their supplies, such as cables, poles, etc., in addition to providing the needs of the water and sewage networks..
