New York (UNA/WAFA) – The UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese, described the Israeli practices in the West Bank as “criminal,” warning that “the intent of genocide is clear in the way Israel targets the Palestinians.”".
The UN official called on the international community, through her account on the X platform, yesterday, Sunday, to intervene and stop the destruction operations, which she said “have expanded to include all the occupied territories, not just Gaza.”".
“Israel’s actions in the West Bank are criminal, expanding the scope of destruction to include all of the occupied Palestinian territories, not just Gaza,” Albanese wrote.".
She pointed out that she had warned the United Nations General Assembly of this happening in its latest report in October 2024..
“The genocidal intent is clear in the way Israel targets the entire Palestinian people and the entire occupied Palestinian territory, which Israel claims is exclusively for Jewish self-determination,” she added.".
“It is time, and indeed late, to intervene to stop this,” the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine concluded.".
