Jenin (UNA/WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city and camp of Jenin for the fourth consecutive day, which resulted in the martyrdom of 12 citizens, the injury and arrest of dozens, and great destruction to the infrastructure and citizens’ property.
Deputy Governor of Jenin, Mansour Al-Saadi, said in press statements that the occupation forces closed the four entrances to the city of Jenin and its camp with dirt mounds, and prevented entry and exit from it.
Al-Saadi addressed the difficult conditions facing patients and medical staff at Jenin Governmental Hospital, in light of the power and fuel supplies being cut off as a result of the occupation’s aggression..
He added that the ongoing occupation aggression included air strikes and raids carried out by the occupation army, in addition to forcing hundreds of citizens to flee the camp, and opening a single passage through which citizens were forced to pass through cameras to check their eye and face prints, until they reached the Return Roundabout west of the camp, and imposing a tight siege on it and closing its entrances, amid threats to demolish and bulldoze a number of homes.
The occupation army continues to send military reinforcements into the city of Jenin and the surroundings of the camp, while imposing a complete curfew on the Jenin camp and preventing entry and exit from it.
The occupation bulldozers proceeded to destroy and demolish Haifa Street, which connects the western villages to the city of Jenin, which means that it is difficult to enter and exit it, while the camp residents who are forced to flee are forced to take this street in order to reach the western villages.
The occupation also cut off electricity to all neighborhoods of the camp and parts of the city of Jenin, which led to power outages in Ibn Sina and Jenin Governmental Hospitals. The occupation also prevented the entry of fuel to operate the electricity generators in the hospital departments.
The occupation forces forced most of the camp's residents to flee by force, and began demolishing houses on its outskirts, where the occupation bulldozers demolished the house of Yazan Hanoun on the western edge of the camp, in addition to burning more than 5 houses on Mahyoub Street, Talat al-Ghabz, and behind al-Assir Mosque, while the occupation obstructed the work of the civil defense crews in reaching the burning houses to extinguish them.
The occupation forces arrested a number of citizens from Nablus Street and neighborhoods of the camp. They also subjected a number of citizens to field investigations and set up snipers on tall buildings overlooking the camp after tightening control over it and isolating it from the rest of the city.
Quadcopter drones equipped with loudspeakers continue to fly over the camp, calling out to citizens and dropping threatening leaflets, while the occupation forces launch a wide-scale arrest campaign.
The occupation bulldozers destroyed the main street of Jenin Governmental Hospital, and closed its entrances with dirt barriers, making it almost impossible to transport the wounded and sick to it. They also surrounded the surroundings of Al-Razi and Ibn Sina hospitals.
The occupation forces also sent reinforcements accompanied by bulldozers of the type D10 By tank to the city and stationed on Haifa Street.
