Al-Aiban: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its humanitarian support for the Palestinians

Amman (UNA/SPA) - Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor, Dr. Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban, headed the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference in Gaza, which was held yesterday in the Dead Sea region of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

He delivered the Kingdom's speech in which he affirmed the Kingdom's continued humanitarian support for the Palestinians, pointing to the popular campaign launched by the Kingdom to help the Palestinians, which exceeded 700 million riyals, in addition to operating air and sea bridges to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip.

In the main session of the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference in Gaza, he stressed that the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip necessitates collective action to stop this humanitarian catastrophe, the intensification of all international efforts aimed at stopping this aggression, the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces, and the delivery of sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to All over the sector.

He also stressed the need for the displaced to return to their homes safely, and for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to stop the Israeli aggression, and work to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue based on international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, in a way that guarantees the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders. Its capital is East Jerusalem.

He stressed the need to stop the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli withdrawal, deliver sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip, and return the displaced to their homes.

He called on the international community to hold the Israeli occupation authorities accountable for crimes, violations, and practices that violate international law and international humanitarian law.

He continued: The Kingdom continued to support the efforts of international organizations in light of the tragic conditions the sector is witnessing. It also, through the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, signed agreements to implement urgent projects in cooperation with United Nations organizations.

He welcomed the positive decision taken by the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Ireland and the Republic of Slovenia to recognize the State of Palestine.

The Kingdom's delegation to the conference included His Excellency the Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Jordan, Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi.
