The Council of Arab Ambassadors in Kazakhstan discusses ways to take political action to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people

Astana (UNI/WAFA) - The Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Kazakhstan discussed ways of political action to stop the continuing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, during a meeting chaired by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Montaser Abu Zeid, in the capital, Astana.

The ambassadors of the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Republic of Algeria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the acting embassies of the Republic of Iraq, the State of the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Libya, and the Kingdom of Morocco participated in the meeting. It was hosted by the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Abu Zeid said that this meeting comes in line with Resolution No. 8987 issued by the meeting of the Ministerial Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers in its extraordinary session regarding ways of political action to stop the Israeli aggression and achieve peace and security, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on October 11./October.

He added: The meeting also comes based on Clause Ten of the Ministerial Council’s decisions, which stipulates “assigning the missions of the League of Arab States, the Councils of Arab Ambassadors, and the Arab Group in the United Nations to move at the political level, and to work with international partners to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and achieve a just peace.” And comprehensive, based on the Arab Peace Initiative that was approved in Beirut in 2002, and all international legitimacy resolutions from 1948 until the present day.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory and the results of the ongoing criminal Israeli attacks on a daily basis against our Palestinian people in all Palestinian governorates, including East Jerusalem..

The participants discussed ways to take political action to stop the Israeli aggression and achieve peace and security, as several important decisions were taken in this regard.
