Palestinian-Jordanian coordination to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the occupation attacks

Ramallah (UNA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that it is in constant coordination with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to deepen and activate the efforts made at all levels to support the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and provide it with international protection. The Ministry added in a statement today, Monday, that it is following with great interest the developments of the provocative Israeli attacks against Islamic and Christian sanctities in general, and against Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular, pointing out that it is urging specialized human rights and humanitarian organizations to document the ongoing occupation violations in preparation for reporting them to international bodies, first and foremost the Council of Ministers. Human Rights, UNESCO, and the World Council of Religions, with the aim of exposing these violations, mobilizing the broadest Arab, Islamic and international condemnation of them, and working to strengthen the international front supporting the rights of our people, especially their right to freedom of worship and access to places of worship with complete freedom. It stressed that the Judaizing occupation measures will not undermine the will of the citizens of Jerusalem to persevere and defend the sanctity of the holy sites, most notably the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its protection, and will not deter them from confronting and thwarting these Judaizing colonial plans. The Foreign Ministry condemned the occupying state’s continued targeting of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque with all its components, and its continuing attacks on its guards, preachers, worshipers who lead it, and the employees of the Islamic Endowments, the latest of which was the resumption of a group of Israeli workers’ provocative attacks on the southern wall of Al-Aqsa, and their prevention of the mosque’s preacher, Ismail Nawahda, from entering the city of Jerusalem and reaching Jerusalem. For the mosque, in addition to the escalation in the incursions of Jewish settlers into its courtyards under the guard of the occupation forces and police. It warned of the danger of the attempts made by the Israeli workers to change the identity of the wall as an integral part of a broad Israeli plan to change the historical landmarks and the identity of Jerusalem, in an attempt to impose a new fait accompli on the Holy City in general, and on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings in particular, so that later demands to recognize those. The changes made by the occupation authorities are a fait accompli and facts that must be recognized under the slogan of realism, according to the statements of a number of Zionist American officials.
