UNRWA receives a financial donation from Kuwait to support Palestinian refugees in Syria

Beirut (UNA) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, UNRWA, announced that it had received an amount of $900 from the State of Kuwait, in response to the agency’s appeal for the regional crisis in Syria, according to what was broadcast by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). UNRWA indicated in a statement today that this donation represents the first pledge to this appeal this year, and will go to the life-saving assistance provided to Palestine refugees who are still inside Syria. The statement explained: The conflict in Syria is still disrupting the lives of civilians. It causes deaths, injuries, internal displacement, and severe damage to civilian infrastructure, in addition to ongoing humanitarian needs, and Palestinians are among those most affected by the Syrian conflict.
