Kuwait (UNA/KUNA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the decision by the Israeli occupation authorities to transfer lands in the West Bank to what is called “state property” belonging to the occupation authority, which represents a continuation of the flagrant violations of all international laws, norms and relevant Security Council resolutions.
The Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement on Monday that it is completely unacceptable to impose non-Palestinian sovereignty over the occupied West Bank.
She stressed that any decision to annex lands in the occupied West Bank is null and void and illegitimate, and undermines the efforts of the international community aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with Security Council resolutions and the two-state solution.
The State of Kuwait reiterated its principled and unwavering position of standing with the brotherly Palestinian people in establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It called on the international community to assume its legal, moral and humanitarian responsibilities towards deterring Israeli violations in a way that preserves the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people and enhances security and stability in the region.
