Britain, France, and Canada: We will take concrete steps if Israel does not halt its attack on Gaza.

Brussels (UNA/WAFA) – The leaders of Britain, France, and Canada announced on Monday that they will take “concrete steps” if Israel does not halt its military offensive on the Gaza Strip and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid.
In a joint statement, the leaders of the three countries stressed their strong opposition to the expansion of Israeli "military operations" in Gaza, stressing that the level of human suffering in Gaza is unbearable.
They affirmed their determination to recognize a Palestinian state as a contribution to achieving the two-state solution, and their willingness to work with others to this end.
The statement stressed that yesterday's announcement by Israel allowing a small amount of food into the Gaza Strip was wholly insufficient, and called on the Israeli government to halt its "military operations" in Gaza and immediately allow humanitarian aid into the Strip. This must include cooperation with the United Nations to ensure the resumption of aid deliveries in accordance with international humanitarian law.
The statement stressed that the Israeli government's refusal to provide basic humanitarian aid to civilians is unacceptable and may constitute a violation of international humanitarian law.
He condemned the hateful language recently used by some members of the Israeli government and the threat of forced displacement of civilians facing horrific devastation in Gaza, stressing that permanent forced displacement constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.
The statement read: “We will not stand idly by while the Netanyahu government continues these shameful actions.”
The statement affirmed the three countries' rejection of any attempts to expand settlements in the West Bank, and that Israel must end illegal settlement activities that undermine the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state, and that it will not hesitate to take further steps, including specific measures.
He pointed out that the three countries strongly support the efforts made by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
He stressed that everyone must work to implement the two-state solution as the only way to achieve lasting peace and security and ensure long-term stability in the region.
Since March 2, the Israeli occupation has closed the Gaza Strip's crossings to the entry of food, relief, medical aid, and goods, causing a significant deterioration in the humanitarian situation of citizens.
Since October 2023, 53,486, the Israeli occupation forces have launched an aggression on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 121,398 citizens, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of XNUMX others. This is a preliminary toll, with a number of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulances and rescue teams.
