The organization works to address food security challenges and support food sustainability in the Islamic world.

Ambassador Beric Arin
Ambassador Berik Aren, a Kazakh diplomat who has been serving as Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security since 2024. He has extensive leadership experience and a proven track record in international diplomacy and government affairs, previously serving as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and was the Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
