grandmother (UNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister-designate Ali Bagheri Kani confirmed that the Israeli occupation committed during the past ten months the most heinous crimes in human history against the Palestinian people in Gaza, noting that due to the broad and consistent support of some Western powers, especially the United States, for Israel, the United Nations Unable to take any action to end this unprecedented killing and destruction against Palestinian civilians.
This came during his participation in the extraordinary open-ended meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held on Wednesday at the organization’s headquarters in Jeddah to discuss the continuing crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and its assault on the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Kenny pointed out that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, former Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority and head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, who was present in Tehran at an official invitation from the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate with the government in the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is just one example of the terrorist crimes committed by the Israeli regime in The region and beyond.
The Minister added: This heinous terrorist act constitutes a clear violation of the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, a serious threat to regional and international peace and security, and a serious violation of the basic principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
He called on the United Nations Security Council to bear the primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security, and to hold the Israeli regime responsible for committing these crimes and violations and to punish the perpetrators of these crimes.
He stressed that the only solution to the current crisis in the region is to address its root causes, which are the illegal occupation of Palestine and decades of occupation, pointing out that without removing the occupation and the Palestinians obtaining all their rights, it will not be possible to determine self-determination and establish an independent State of Palestine.
