grandmother (UNA) - Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences, Dr. Fadel Al-Rahim, headed the Iraqi delegation to the extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at the level of foreign ministers of member states, which was held in Jeddah on August 7, 2024.
The meeting discussed the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli entity against the Palestinian people, and the recent attacks on the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iraqi delegation included the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Muhammad Samir Al-Naqshbandi.
The attendees affirmed their firm solidarity with the Palestinian people in their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
They also called on the international community to work to immediately stop the war waged by the usurping Israeli entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Holy Jerusalem.
The attendees also strongly condemned the assassination of the head of the Hamas Political Bureau and former Palestinian Prime Minister, Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, while he was in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
They held the brutal Israeli entity fully responsible for this sinful attack on the sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
