Pilgrims of the Sacred House of God flock to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah

Mina (UNA/SPA) - Pilgrims of the Sacred House of God began arriving this morning, Friday, the eighth of the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1445 AH, to Mina to spend the Day of Tarwiyah in order to draw closer to God Almighty, hoping for acceptance and forgiveness from Him, following and imitating the Sunnah of their Prophet Muhammad - may God bless him and grant him peace - in great numbers. From Talbiyah, praise and glorification, in the form of spirituality and faith.

The tolerant Sharia has made it clear that the arrival of pilgrims in a state of ihram in their ihram to Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah and overnighting there on their way to stop at Arafat is a confirmed Sunnah.

The pilgrims who have completed Umrah are deprived of their places, whether inside or outside of Mecca, as the pilgrims remain there until after sunrise on the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah, after which they go to stand at Arafat (the Great Waqf), and then return to it after the “departure” from Arafat and overnight in Muzdalifah to spend days ( 10 - 11 - 12 - 13), and throwing the three Jamarat, Jamrat al-Aqaba, Jamrat al-Mousta, and Jamrat al-Sughra, except for those who are in a hurry, according to the Almighty’s saying: (And remember Allah in a numbered days. But whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin on him, and whoever delays, there is no sin on him, for whoever fears Him).

Mina is located between Mecca and Muzdalifah, seven kilometers northeast of the Grand Mosque. It is one of the borders of the Holy Mosque, surrounded by mountains on both the northern and southern sides. It is only inhabited for the duration of Hajj. It is bordered by Jamrat al-Aqaba on the Mecca side, and Muzdalifah Valley is bordered on the Muzdalifah side. .

The hair of Mina is considered to have a historical and religious status. It is where the Prophet of God, Abraham - peace be upon him - threw stones at the stones, and sacrificed a ransom for Ishmael - peace be upon him. Then the Prophet of guidance - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - confirmed this act during the Farewell Pilgrimage and shaved, and Muslims followed his Sunnah, throwing stones and slaughtering stones. Guide them and they shave.

Al-Mash’ar is famous for its historical monuments, including the three towering stones, and the “Al-Khaif” Mosque, which got its name in reference to what descended from the thick of the mountain and rose above the flow of water. It is located on the southern slope of Mount Mina, and close to Al-Jamarat Al-Sughra, and the Prophet prayed in it - may God bless him and grant him peace. May God bless him and grant him peace - and the prophets before him. On the authority of Yazid bin Al-Aswad, he said: “I witnessed his Hajj with the Prophet - may God bless him and grant him peace - and I prayed the morning prayer with him in Al-Khaif Mosque.” It still stands until now, and due to its importance, it was expanded and rebuilt in the year 1407 AH.

Among the famous historical events that took place in Mina were the first and second Pledges of Aqaba. In the 12th year of the Hijra, the first was with 12 men from Aws and Khazraj pledging allegiance to the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - followed by the second in the Hajj of the 13th year of the Hijra, and the pledge of allegiance to him - peace be upon him - in it. 73 men and two women from the people of Medina in the same location, which is located to the northeast of Jamrat al-Aqaba, where the Abbasid Caliph Abu Jaafar al-Mansur built the Bay’ah Mosque in the year 144 AH, located at the bottom of Mount Thubair, close to the people of the Bay’ah of Aqaba, in commemoration of this memory that he pledged at the time. Al-Ansar is the Messenger of God - may God bless him and grant him peace - with his support, support, migration and emigrants to Medina.

Surah “Al-Mursalat” was also revealed with it, when Al-Bukhari narrated it on the authority of Abdullah - may God be pleased with him - who said: While we were with the Prophet - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him - in a cave in Mina, when “Al-Mursalat” descended upon him, and that he recited it and I received it from his mouth, and that His mouth is wet with it.
The interest of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - in Mina came as a result of its sense of the period of time spent by the pilgrims in Mina, and the belief of the wise leadership - supported by God - in the size of the requirements that guarantee the comfort of the guests of Rahman during the period of performing their rituals.

The wise leadership - may God protect it - provided security, medical, catering services and means of transportation to facilitate the Hajj pilgrimage and the performance of its rituals with spirituality and reassurance, stressing to government and service agencies the importance of striving to implement everything that would make their tasks a success during the Hajj season.
