
Jeddah (UNA) – The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, received at his office at the delegation headquarters in the branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Makkah region in Jeddah Governorate, the Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sanu, in the presence of the Assistant Secretary-General for Cultural, Social and Humanitarian Affairs of the Organization and the Secretary-General’s Envoy to Afghanistan, Ambassador Tariq Bakhit.
During the meeting, “Sano” reviewed the mission of the Assembly, its objectives, and the most important programs and activities, expressing the aspirations of the member states of the organization for the Assembly to continue its role and progress, which enjoys the care and support of the member states, especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the Assembly is headquartered.
The meeting also reviewed the Academy’s efforts in implementing the resolutions of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Islamic States and the Islamic Summits, in light of the current challenges facing the Islamic world, and the Academy’s keenness to strengthen close cooperation and continuous communication between the Academy and relevant scientific institutions in Islamic countries.
