Jeddah (UNA) – The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) honored the Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA) on the sidelines of the 26th regular session of the Commission, which began on Sunday, December 14, 2025 and will continue until December 18.
The Director General of “Yona”, Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrab Al-Yami, received a commemorative shield on this occasion from the Executive Director of the Permanent Authority, Dr. Hadi bin Ali Al-Yami.
In his welcoming speech, Dr. Hadi Al-Yami devoted a space to discussing the strengthening of cooperation between the Authority and the UNA Union during the past period through the activation of the signed memorandum of understanding, which includes supporting professional media coverage, exchanging content and experiences, strengthening communication channels with member states, and highlighting priority human rights issues, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the Union for its cooperation and support for the Authority’s efforts.
