
Istanbul (UNA) – The Ministerial Contact Group of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar held a meeting on June 22, 2025, in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, on the sidelines of the XNUMXst Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The meeting was chaired on behalf of the Secretary-General of the Organization by the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Dubai, and attended by the member states of the Contact Group.
The meeting reaffirmed its full support for the Rohingya Muslims and the need to restore their fundamental rights. It urged the international community to take immediate action to enable the Rohingya people to return voluntarily, safely, dignified, and sustainably to their homeland in Myanmar.
