Jeddah (UNA) – The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, welcomed the US President’s announcement to lift sanctions on the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Secretary-General of the Organization commended the significant efforts made by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, in seeking to lift sanctions on Syria.
He expressed his hope that this decision would contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Syrian people, paving the way for building a secure and prosperous future, and supporting stability and reconstruction.
