The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemns the Israeli occupation's decision to close the offices of the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment in occupied Jerusalem.

Jeddah (UNA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to close the offices of the Al-Quds Fund and Endowment, considering it an extension of Judaization policies aimed at undermining the Palestinian presence, obliterating the Arab identity of the occupied city of Jerusalem, and restricting the work of national and civil institutions that contribute to strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and protecting the Islamic and Christian holy sites in the Holy City of Jerusalem.

The organization reiterated that the Israeli occupation has no sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem and its holy sites, and that this racist decision and all the policies of settlement, cultural cleansing, and demographic change pursued by Israel, the occupying power, in the occupied city of Jerusalem are a flagrant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The organization also called on the international community to take urgent action to pressure Israel, the occupying power, to halt these violations and hold it accountable for all crimes it commits against the Palestinian people. It emphasized the need to provide further political, financial, and legal support to Palestinian institutions operating in Jerusalem, including the Jerusalem Fund and Endowment.
