Jeddah (UNA) - Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Social and Cultural Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan, received in his office on April 23, 2025, Mr. Kameda Masayuki, Deputy Director-General of the Middle East and African Affairs Bureau of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation also included the Consul General and Vice-Consul of Japan in Jeddah.
The meeting focused on discussing the current situation in Afghanistan and exploring ways to enhance humanitarian cooperation between the OIC and Japan. Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of the Afghan people.
