The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place in Niger.

Jeddah (UNA) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted worshippers performing Friday prayers in the village of Vampita, in the municipality of Tira, Niger, on March 21, 2025, leaving dozens dead and wounded.

His Excellency the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous crime committed during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan. He offered his condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of the Republic of Niger, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. The Secretary General reiterated the OIC's full solidarity with the Republic of Niger and its people in confronting all threats to its security and stability, affirming the OIC's condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and its support for the Nigerian government's efforts to combat it.
