Jeddah (UNA) – The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, hosted a Ramadan Iftar banquet in Jeddah on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, which brought together Their Excellencies the Permanent Representatives of the OIC Member States, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, consuls and diplomats from non-member states, in addition to those in charge of the subsidiary, specialized and affiliated agencies and institutions based in Jeddah, the Assistant Secretaries-General of the General Secretariat of the Organization, and its staff, in addition to a group of guests of honor representing various sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as a number of media professionals and writers.
The Iftar party was an important opportunity to strengthen the rapprochement between the organization and its host environment in Jeddah, and to create bridges of acquaintance and cooperation with various institutions.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is keen to hold this ceremony every Ramadan to strengthen the bonds of cooperation with the member states, the institutions of the host country, scholars, media professionals and civil society in Jeddah.
