Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakhit, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural, Social and Family Affairs, received in his office at the General Secretariat headquarters today, Thursday, January 30, 2025, a delegation from the Russian Federation headed by Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed their appreciation for the level of relations between the OIC and the Russian Federation in the field of culture, and exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation between the OIC General Secretariat and the Russian Federation. The two sides also discussed ways to move forward in organizing various cultural programs and activities in Russia and the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
The meeting also discussed the great importance that the OIC attaches to cultural cooperation with its observer states, and touched on other issues of common interest.
