OIC condemns deadly terrorist attack against army in Benin

Jeddah (UNA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the bloody terrorist attack that took place on January 10, 2025 in Benin, targeting an army site in the north of the country, killing about twenty people and wounding several others.

The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, described the attack as a cowardly and reprehensible act, and called for an end to these heinous acts. He also reiterated the OIC’s full solidarity with the authorities of Benin in their efforts to combat terrorism.

The Secretary-General expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government and people of Benin, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
