grandmother (UNA) - Mr. Muhammad bin Sulaiman Aba Al-Khail, Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, participated in the forty-sixth session of the Islamic Committee for Economic, Cultural and Social Affairs, and the fifty-second session of the Permanent Finance Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation 31 during the period from July 28 - August 3, 2024 AD.
He addressed the meeting, highlighting the most prominent activities of the Fund during the years 2023-2024, which included the approval of the Fund’s Permanent Council to provide emergency aid, support the activities of universities, centers and Islamic associations, and contribute to the construction of mosques, schools and hospitals, as the total aid amounted to (2,665,000) US dollars. .
He expressed his thanks and gratitude to the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for the financial support they provide to the Fund’s operational budgets and projects.
He also extended his sincere thanks to the countries that contributed their ongoing generous donations to support the aid budget, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
He thanked the rest of the countries that donated to the Fund during the past years, hoping that they would return their giving again in the service of Islam and Muslims.
