The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation participates in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference in Gaza

Gaza (UNA) - Secretary-General Hussein Ibrahim Taha participated in the Emergency Humanitarian Response Conference in Gaza, which was held jointly organized by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United Nations.

In his speech during the conference, the Secretary-General stressed the importance of strengthening the solidarity, cooperation and necessary support from the international community on a broad scale, and fulfilling its responsibilities towards the worsening humanitarian challenges in the Gaza Strip.

He reiterated the need to strengthen efforts to achieve an immediate, permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and to put an end to all Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Holy Jerusalem,

He also pointed out the necessity of the complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip, ensuring the adequate, sustainable and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and basic needs to all parts of the Gaza Strip, facilitating the return of the displaced to their homes, and accelerating the launch of the reconstruction process.

He also praised the efforts made by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the success of the conference and the achievement of its goals.
