Jeddah (UNA) - The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, participated in the twenty-third session of the Islamic Jurisprudence Academy of the Muslim World League, whose sessions opened this morning, Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the city of Riyadh, in the presence of a wide presence of senior muftis and heads of religious bodies in the Islamic world. And a large number of jurists and thinkers from different countries of the world.

In his speech before the participants in the opening session of the session, the Secretary-General emphasized the role of scholars and religious institutions in Islamic countries in consolidating the values ​​of moderation and tolerance, rejecting hate speech, and introducing Islam and its tolerant values, noting the importance that the sessions of Islamic jurisprudence academies gain in achieving the principle of collective ijtihad, which reduces Differences in opinions among Muslims reinforce the unity of Muslim communities. The Secretary-General also appreciated the efforts of the Muslim World League and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims.
