Jeddah (UNA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its condemnation of the attack on the consulate building of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
The General Secretariat stressed that this attack constitutes a violation of international laws and norms, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and international law that protects the sanctity of diplomatic missions and is binding on everyone in accordance with the immunity and respect it imposes for diplomatic missions.
