Hussein Ibrahim Taha mourns the Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology, Ambassador Askar Musinov

Jeddah (UNA) - The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, mourned with great sadness and sorrow, Ambassador Askar Musinov, from the Republic of Kazakhstan, who held the position of Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology Affairs in the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and who passed away today, Saturday, 10 February 2024 AD in Kazakhstan.

The Secretary-General expressed his sincere condolences and sincere sympathy to the Republic of Kazakhstan and to the family of the deceased, following the deceased’s transition to the side of his Lord, hoping that God Almighty will cover him with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and grant his honorable family patience and solace.

The Secretary-General praised the qualities of Ambassador Askar Musinov, who made valuable efforts during his work at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for several years, and the significant contributions he made to developing work within the Science and Technology Department of the Organization’s General Secretariat.

The deceased recently assumed his job after being elected Director-General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security in Kazakhstan.
