The Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund witnesses the signing of 9 financial grant agreements between the Fund and civil society organizations in Palestine

Jeddah (UNA) - Muhammad bin Suleiman Aba Al-Khail, Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, witnessed, via video call, the signing ceremony of 9 financial grant agreements between the Islamic Solidarity Fund and a number of civil society institutions, at the headquarters of the  General Secretariat of the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, headed by the Minister Nasser Qatami, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Arab and Islamic Funds Affairs, Representative of the State of Palestine on the Permanent Council of the Fund, in the presence of Ahmed Ali Hanoun, Director of the Representative Office of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Ramallah.

In light of recent events and in response to the appeal of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, the Emergency Committee of the Islamic Solidarity Fund approved emergency humanitarian assistance to the Palestine Red Crescent Society in the amount of (200,000) US dollars, to support the efforts made to rescue the injured in the Gaza Strip.

Over the course of 49 years, the Fund has contributed to providing living, health, social, cultural, and educational assistance to the Palestinian people, as it has contributed to supporting social, educational, and health institutions and bodies with many humanitarian projects. The total amount provided by the Fund to support the Palestinian people reached more than (28,7) Million US dollars.
