Riyadh (UNA/SPA) Lieutenant General Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, described the situation in the Gaza Strip and the ugly war it is facing as an unparalleled crisis, noting the timing of the joint Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, to discuss the critical situation in Gaza and what it is facing. During his speech before the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit held in Riyadh today, he called for unifying all efforts to find urgent solutions against the destruction and killing that is happening to the Palestinians by the Israeli occupation forces, and for us to use all capabilities to stop the deterioration of the humanitarian situation there due to the bloody crimes that the Israelis are committing against the people. The President of the Republic of Chad stressed that time has become necessary for the Islamic nation to reach sustainable and final solutions so that the Palestinian people can live in security and safety in an independent state of their own, in accordance with international resolutions, calling for the necessary decisions to be taken by the international community, especially the United Nations, to be the beginning of the work. To resolve the crisis, in addition to imposing a ceasefire and an unequivocal withdrawal of all Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, and implementing all international and UN resolutions to guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to sovereignty over their state.
