Al-Badawi: Opening a branch of the Gulf Accreditation Office in the Sultanate of Oman contributes to strengthening the quality infrastructure in the GCC countries.

Muscat (UNA/SPA) – The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi, affirmed that the opening of a branch of the Gulf Accreditation Office in the Sultanate of Oman contributes to strengthening the quality infrastructure in the GCC countries, including supporting international recognition of Gulf competencies.
This came during the Secretary-General's sponsorship and attendance at the opening of the Gulf Accreditation Office branch yesterday in the Omani capital, Muscat. The opening was attended by Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and a number of officials in the Sultanate of Oman.
The Gulf Accreditation Office in the Sultanate of Oman seeks to chart the course for cooperation and coordination among the GCC states, develop a system for implementing specifications, evaluating, and controlling products in the GCC states, and support and develop the Gulf industry and economy.
