Jordan participates in a trade fair in Pakistan

Amman (UNA/Petra) – A Jordanian trade delegation participated in the HEMS 2025 exhibition, which was held at the Expo Center in Lahore, Pakistan, and organized by the Trade Development Authority of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The exhibition concluded its activities yesterday, Saturday.

The delegation's head, First Vice President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Nabil Al-Khatib, emphasized the Jordanian commercial sector's commitment to regular participation in exhibitions, events, and economic demonstrations, with the aim of strengthening cooperation with various countries and opening new markets for Jordanian importers and exporters.

He pointed out in a statement on Sunday that the participation of the Jordanian delegation, which included a number of representatives of commercial activities and Jordanian companies operating in the construction, sanitary ware, electrical appliances, building materials, and agricultural business sectors, represents an important opportunity to communicate with businessmen and investors, whether in Pakistan or from various countries participating in the exhibition. This will allow for the exchange of experiences and the exploration of opportunities for commercial and investment partnerships, especially in sectors covered by the exhibition, such as health, engineering, and metal industries.

He explained that this exhibition represents an ideal platform for learning about the latest developments and opportunities in the fields of health, engineering, and metals, as well as being an important opportunity to expand cooperation between Jordanian and Pakistani companies in these areas.

He said the exhibition features products from a wide range of commercial sectors, including agricultural machinery, marble, metals, building materials, handicrafts, safety equipment, health products, electrical machinery, fans, electrical home appliances, pharmaceutical industries, and others.

He added that the delegation visited the Pakistani city of Sialkot and met with its counterparts at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry. They discussed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two chambers, which aims to establish practical frameworks for future cooperation, facilitate the exchange of trade and investment information, and organize joint economic events that will contribute to strengthening the presence of Jordanian products in the Pakistani market and opening up new horizons for investment opportunities that serve mutual economic interests.

It is noteworthy that Jordan's exports to Pakistan amounted to approximately 7 million dinars last year, compared to 30 million dinars in imports.
