
Riyadh (UNA/SPA) – A Saudi delegation headed by the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, visited the Republic of Singapore to discuss ways to strengthen trade relations, address the challenges facing Singaporean manufacturers, suppliers, and the business sector, and enhance cooperation in the field of product safety and quality improvement.
During bilateral meetings with officials from the public and private sectors, Dr. Al-Qasabi discussed a number of topics of mutual interest and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
The visit included bilateral meetings to discuss topics of mutual interest and explore prospects for cooperation between the two sides. A workshop was also organized to highlight the Saudi experience in product safety and the importance of activating communication with manufacturers and exporters globally. The workshop also raised awareness of the requirements of technical regulations and services provided by the authority, such as the Saudi Quality Mark and energy efficiency.
This visit comes as part of efforts to enhance trade exchange between the Kingdom and Singapore and expand cooperation in the areas of product safety and conformity assurance, with a focus on knowledge exchange and expertise transfer in relevant sectors.
