Secretary of the Islamic Fiqh Academy participates in a workshop on government and private instruments

Kuwait (UNA) – The Secretary General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Abbadi, participated in the activities of the workshop organized by the Kuwait Center for Islamic Economics from 12-14 February 2018, under the title: Issuance and Trading of Government and Private Sukuk. The Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Development at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Endowments, Walid Abdulaziz Al-Ammar, opened the workshop sessions, in the presence of directors and supervisors from endowments and scholars and economic researchers from inside and outside Kuwait. The workshop activities began with sessions to study the obstacles to issuing Islamic Sukuk and present proposals and solutions to overcome obstacles, prepare the necessary legislation and laws for issuance and find a mechanism to make them a legislative and legal reality.
