London (UNA) – His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, met in the British capital, London, with Islamic religious leaders, including a number of businessmen from across the United Kingdom.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the civilized Islamic position in dealing with a number of issues of concern to Islamic communities in non-Islamic countries. The attendees appreciated the important role played by the League around the world, stressing their pride in its qualitative initiatives, especially clarifying the true nature of the tolerant Islamic religion in the face of extremist ideas of all ideologies.
His Excellency also delivered a keynote address at the opening of the high-level expert group meeting at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, addressing a number of dialogue issues and emphasizing its importance in achieving preventive peace.
