Makkah (UNA) – The Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques’ Affairs has supported media enrichment efforts to convey the moderate message of the Two Holy Mosques to the Islamic world in several languages. The Media Center of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques signed a media cooperation agreement with the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries (UNA), under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Religious Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, at the Presidency’s headquarters in Makkah today. The agreement aims to enhance media cooperation, highlight the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques through the media in the Islamic world, and enhance the moderate religious leadership in the world in several languages.
The media cooperation agreement was signed on behalf of the Presidency by His Excellency the Advisor to His Excellency the President and General Supervisor of Media and Communication at the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Mr. Fahim bin Hamid Al-Hamid, while on behalf of the Union, the agreement was signed by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Abdrabuh Al-Yami, Director General of the Union of News Agencies of the OIC Member States.
His Excellency the President of Religious Affairs welcomed the media agreement with the UNA, considering it a distinct qualitative media shift in conveying the moderate message of the Two Holy Mosques to the Islamic world in various languages, and disseminating the moderate Islamic approach based on a correct understanding of the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Al-Yami expressed his pleasure with this agreement, stressing UNA's keenness to highlight the Presidency's specialized achievements and outputs in the media, and to broadcast media reports to all Islamic news agencies in various languages.
The signed agreement aims to highlight the moderate message of the Two Holy Mosques in the Islamic and global media, and to cooperate between the two parties in the fields of digital media and media production, enriching the media experience of pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the wise leadership - may God protect them.
